Bud Mingledorff Owner & Chairman
Bud Mingledorff has been Chairman of the Board since 2008. Prior to this position, Bud served as President starting in 1995. He has served in various positions over the years starting in 1970 upon joining Mingledorff's on a full time basis after serving in the US Army.
Bud Mingledorff is a graduate of Wofford College with a degree in accounting.
Bud has also served as President of Heating, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International
(HARDI), Peachtree Corners Rotary Club, Ansley Kiwanis Club, the GA Wholesaler's Association and the
medium size business chairman for the Gwinnett County United Way.
Bud currently resides in Bluffton, SC with Shirley, his wife of 35 years.
David Kesterton President
David Kesterton was born and raised in Atlanta Georgia. He attended Marist School in Atlanta, Ga. and later attended Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. David graduated from Auburn with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Management) in 1984. After school he joined Mingledorff’s Inc. (HVAC Distributor in Georgia) and attended the Carrier Air Conditionings six month engineering and sales school in Syracuse, New York. Following Carrier’s Sales School David started as a Territory Sales Manager covering the metro Atlanta area. After four years, he expanded his territory to include Northwest Georgia. In 1993 David was promoted to Sales Manager for the North Georgia region followed by a promotion to Vice President and General Manager of Mingledorff’s Distributors, a division of Mingledorff’s Inc. In January, 2008 he became President and CEO of Mingledorff’s Inc. and holds that position today.
David is married to Helen Daniel Kesterton and have two sons, Will 18 and Beau 15. Will graduated from Marist School and plans to attend Auburn University this fall. Beau is entering 10th grade this fall at Marist School. Both boys are avid sportsman enjoying basketball, football, baseball and golf through the years. Helen is an avid tennis player participating in the Alta and USTA program and both are active members of Cherokee Town and Country Club in Atlanta. David’s hobbies include golf, fitness, fishing and gardening and has served on several committees at Cherokee Town and Country Club. Currently, David serves as Co-Chair of the National Carrier/Bryant Distributor Council.
Rob Willis CFO
Rob Willis became CFO of Mingledorff’s in January 2013. Before that he served as the company’s Controller since starting with the organization in 2010. Rob came to Mingledorff’s with 15 years of experience in progressive finance and accounting roles from other highly successful distribution and manufacturing organizations.
Rob is an active CPA, as well as a Chartered Global Management Accountant. He graduated at the top of his class with a degree in Accounting from Campbellsville University. He later went back to school and got his MBA with a 4.0 GPA. Rob is originally from Kentucky but has lived in the Atlanta area for 12 years. He enjoys international travel and boating.
Rob Massey Southeast District General Manager, and VP
Rob Massey is Vice-President and General Manager of the Southeast Division. Rob joined Mingledorff’s in 1986 after graduating from Georgia Tech with a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. He began as an Application Engineer, then spent six months in Syracuse for engineering and sales training. After returning to Savannah, he spent sixteen years as a Territory Manager. He took over as General Manager of the Southeast in 2003. Rob has been married to Amy for twenty eight years and has two daughters currently attending Georgia Tech.
Jim Spenello North Georgia District General Manager
Jim started his career at Mingledorff’s in 1984 in the Sales Engineering department calling on consulting engineers. Three years later he moved his commercial talents over to the contractor sales arena. Calling on some of the largest design build mechanical contractors in Metro Atlanta broadened Jim’s commercial technical expertise. After 20 years of field sales experience, Jim moved to an inside management role when he took over the Commercial Sales and Controls Departments. This preparation led to Jim’s current role as General Manager of the North Georgia district. Jim has also served in an advisory role on many Distributor Advisory Committees and currently is the Carrier Commercial DAC chair.
Mike Harrison Southwest District General Manager
Mike has been the Southwest District Manager since 2006 and before that was a Territory Manager for 8 years and has also held other numerous positions with Mingledorff’s over his 30 years of employment with the company. Mike grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from Auburn University in 1984 and currently resides in Forsyth, Georgia with his two children Alex and Caroline and enjoys playing tennis, going to the lake and college football in his free time.
Bill Hallenberg North Alabama District General Manager
Bill Hallenberg has been the General Manger of the North Alabama District since its inception in 2006. He joined Mingledorff’s Inc. in 1996 after starting his HVAC career in 1985 at Cooling and Heating Supply in Decatur Georgia. His previous roles within Mingledorff’s include Operations Manager for the North Georgia District and Distribution Center Manager for the Norcross and Tucker Georgia Locations. He grew up in Dunwoody Georgia and enjoys golf and SEC football.
Rick Center Gulf Coast District General Manager
Rick joined Mingledorff’s in 2010 to lead the Gulf Coast division after it was acquired from ESC. Before that, he spent 5 years in leadership positions with an HVAC distributor in another part of the country. His years in sales operations at GE, as well as brand management and marketing at Procter & Gamble equipped him well for HVAC distribution. Before his civilian career, Rick taught Nuclear Engineering as an officer in the Navy and also served in U.S. Army Reserve. Rick is a native of Arkansas and a Mechanical Engineering graduate of the U. of Arkansas.
Jim Feczko Carrier Brand Manager
Jim Feczko joined Mingledorff’s in March of 1980 as a Technical Service Manager. Jim traveled the entire state of Georgia assisting dealers in technical support, product training, and supervised job startup on commercial and industrial equipment. In 1985, Jim made the transition into sales and served as a territory manager responsible for dealer sales in the metro Atlanta area. Jim was promoted to his current role of sales/Carrier brand manager in 1998. Jim enjoys spending time with his family and grandchildren along with an occasional game of golf.
Shane McKnight Holden & Assoc. General Manager
Shane McKnight has been the General Manager for Holden and Associates since May of 2013. Prior to assuming that role he was in outside sales for Holden and Associates since 2002 and worked for Mingledorff’s in Savannah as an application engineer from 1998-2000. Shane graduated from Mercer University in 1998 with a degree in biomedical engineering. He currently lives in Cumming, Ga with his wife and 2 children.
Katie Perry Human Resources Director
Katie joined Mingledorff's in January of 2007 and leads our Human Resources Department. Prior to Mingledorff's, she worked for Lane Limited in various HR roles. She graduated with a Social Science degree from Virginia Wesleyan College. She lives in Lawrenceville, GA with her family and when not at work, you will find her swimming, biking or running.
Matt Ranstead Director of Operations
Currently the Director of Operations with direct reports of the Information Technology and Inventory Groups. From March 1997 to December 2012, I was the Chief Financial Officers for Mingledorff’s. Prior to coming to Mingledorff’s I worked at Carrier Corporation for 21 years. I held several jobs there including: Bryant Residential Sales Manager for the Southeast, Zone Business Manager for the Midwest, Southwest and Southeast Zones at different times, Pricing Manager for BDP and Branch Operations for Bryant in Miami.
Danny Smith Contractor Financial Services
Danny Smith began his career with Carrier Corp. in 1975 working in Georgia & Florida as a Branch Manager, Credit Manager, Business Manager & finally as a Territory Manager. Danny joined Mingledorff’s Inc. in 1985 bringing with him an extensive knowledge of sales & business management. In 1996, Danny became the Field Chief Financial Officer for Mingledorff’s Inc. & in 2006 setup Contractor Financial Services, a subsidiary of Mingledorff’s Inc, that specializes in providing accounting, business consulting and tax preparation for HVAC Contractors.
